October 1, 2025 - Nourishing Inner Stillness: Psychospiritual Resilience in Times of Change, with Allie Kochert, MA, LPC, CSD
Resilience is the ability to rebound from adversity - and when we have connection to our psychospiritual wellness, we can feel more hopeful and strong as we face the challenges of fear, worry, and anger. In this workshop, we'll have a time of poetry for presence and guided mindfulness meditation as we re-orient ourselves to our roots and restore connection to the inner compass.

September 10, 2025 - Befriending Shame: How to be Present to the Feeling We Most Want to Avoid, with Janelle Schneider
Shame is an emotion we all encounter in our human experience. Yet, by its very nature, it is one of the most difficult emotions to be present to. Our instinctive response to shame is to hide - hide from the feelings, hide from ourselves, and hide from others. In this workshop, we will learn how shame affects us in our three centres: body, heart and head; explore tools that can assist us as we pay attention to our shame; and learn how to uncover the gifts shame offers to us.

June 17, 2025 - Praying in Colour: A Creative Retreat, with Kathy Berken
Maybe you love color. Maybe you are a visual or kinesthetic learner, a distractible or impatient soul, or a word-weary pray-er. Perhaps you struggle with a short attention span, a restless body, or a tendency to live in your head. Maybe your prayers feel more like a list for Santa Claus than a love letter to God, or you’re just bored with the same old prayers you’ve said since you were a toddler. Maybe you’re not sure that anyone out there is listening, or you just feel deep in your bones a hunger to know God better. This workshop is more of a retreat - it will introduce you to a new and engaging way to pray.

June 3, 2025 - Near Death Experiences: Hope, Hypoxia and Hypothesis, with Rev. David Maginley
The hope offered in all religions, and held by humanity through the ages, is that we are so much more than mortal. Explore the surprisingly common accounts of those who slip across to the other side and return. Recent studies  indicate NDEs are experienced by at least half of patients at the end of life, and 1 in 10 patients who have faced a health crisis. When supported by health care providers and family, these events offer the ultimate opportunity to grow in love and evolve consciousness.

May 20, 2025 - Kything: Communion with the More-Than-Human World, with Shawn Sanford Beck
THIS WORKSHOP WAS NOT RECORDED - Kything is a "psycho-spiritual technology" inspired by the fiction of Madeleine L'Engle and developed by the priest and psychologist team of Louis M. Savary and Patricia H. Berne almost 40 years ago.  In this new revision of the technique by GreenSpirit Chaplain Shawn Sanford Beck, you will explore the theory and experience the practice of using your deep imagination to engage with the more-than-human persons of the green world around you.  Remember: Creation is always speaking; it is often we who are not listening.  Kything will help you rectify that situation.

Suppose someone told you that there was something [someone] that/who was available to you every night, that/who presented you with the truth about your own life and inner being, a truth that was tailor-made to your individual needs and particular life-story, that offered to guide you throughout your lifetime, and connect you with a source of wisdom far beyond yourself. And, to pursue this even further, that this gift would be given not only for personal insight, but for an awareness and guidance for the larger community.
May 6, 2025 - Green Burials: Your Legacy, and a Gift to the Planet, with Richard Rosin
Many of us have spent our lives reducing our impact on our planet, from recycling and composting to lobbying and keeping our lawns chemical free. Natural Green Burials (how we have taken care of our dead long before there was a funeral industry) is the 'traditional' form of burial, practiced by many cultures and growing in popularity worldwide. Our environmental legacy lives on long after our hearts stop beating. We have much to do to prepare. This workshop takes a refreshing look at this topic.

March 11, 2025 - Holding the Tension: Moving Beyond Either/Or Thinking, with Kalyn Falk
Some tensions in life are not problems to be solved but polarities to be held—dynamic forces that invite wisdom rather than resolution. Polarity management is a powerful framework that moves us beyond either/or thinking into a deeper awareness of wholeness. Grounded in non-dual wisdom, this approach teaches us to embrace paradox, recognizing that opposing forces are often interdependent.
March 8, 2025 - Exploring Your Domestic Monastery, with Fr. Ron Rolheiser OMI
God is more domestic than monastic and is found more in your home than in your church. The domestic can also be the “monastic.” Your marriage, your family, and your work can be your own monastery. The alarm clock that wakes you in the morning is your monastic bell and your work and duties each day are your monastic rhythm. Monks have secrets worth knowing. This presentation will draw wisdom from the monastic tradition to shed light on our own human and spiritual journey.
