$60 CAD

Date & Time

Tuesday, June 9, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

About the Course

Join Rev. Shelly and Chaplain Shawn for a day of natural beauty, eco-spiritual exploration, and generative creativity.  We’ll be delving into the mysteries of Christian Animism and Kything (in both theory and practice) as well as engaging our inherent gifts of creativity and artistic expression in relationship with God’s beloved world.  You can look forward to some gentle walking, enjoyment of the charming Wellington Park, and exploration of the Labyrinth, as well as the hospitality of the North Green - Rev. Shelly’s retreat space.  This event is accessible to those who move more slowly, including the use of cane or walker. Please be aware that there are a few steps up at the North Green.

When you come, please bring clothing appropriate for the weather, including footwear, hat and sunscreen, bug juice, raingear if it looks that way, a lawn chair, and possibly an umbrella (for rain or shade).  Bring your journal, if that is a tool you normally use. Other art materials will be supplied. And please bring a BAG LUNCH for the day.  Simple refreshments will be provided, but not a full meal.

Please register soon, as this event has a maximum of 10 participants!

Detailed information about parking, program, emergency contact, etc. will be made available to registrants closer to the date of the event.

For those who may want to extend their stay either before or after this event, please contact Rev. Shelly directly about various accommodation options: slmt@spiritshell.ca

I love to connect my delight in story, creation, and people when I work with individuals and groups in ministry through retreats, workshops and spiritual direction. I hold a Master’s of Divinity, Prairie Jubilee training in Spiritual Direction, and a Certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy. Some of the other experiences and interests I bring to my work include Enneagram studies, experience with the Center for Courage and Renewal, archetypal language, a love of nature and almost 25 years of experience in ordained ministry in the United Church of Canada. To be witness to another’s inner growth and to be trusted with each one’s story – one on one or in small groups – is a real blessing.
I currently work part time with the folks at Davidson United Church and part time as a retreat/workshop leader and spiritual director. I am blessed to live in Manitou Beach, SK, with my spouse and 2 active dogs.
“…this business of becoming conscious…is ultimately about asking yourself: How alive am I willing to be?” ~ Anne Lamott
Shelly lives, works and plays in Saskatchewan, Treaties 4 & 6 territory and homeland of the Metis.
